About BoilerJuice

Founded 12 years ago, is the UK's market leading online heating oil aggregator. Based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, Boilerjuice has very recently secured investment from middle market specialist private equity growth investor Livingbridge. The investment will allow Boilerjuice to build on its track record of growth, based on generating new and recurring business from a rapidly growing customer base and proprietary technology.

Our Suppliers

Our heating oil suppliers are key to the success of our business. We provide our network of suppliers with technology that allows them to price competitively online to secure our heating oil volume which supports their business logistics, online volume growth and market share.

The Company's board wishes to appoint a further Supplier Account Manager to complement the existing team to further improve the relationships with our suppliers. We have already proven that supplier engagement leads to better continuity of competitive prices and our service to customers.

Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will need to have a proven track record in both account management and sales.

The Role
  • Promoting the benefits of Boilerjuice to existing and prospective suppliers.
  • Ensuring proactive supplier engagement to improve customer pricing and service.
  • Collecting supplier feedback and market intelligence and reporting this back to the business.
  • Work closely with the Head of Sales and other members of the Supplier Account Management team to ensure that we have competitive prices and service driven products for the online customer.
Key Responsibilities
  • Work towards company annual targets without compromising the excellent reputation that the brand has become known for.
  • Daily analysis of national, regional and localised prices with a view to effectively lowering them in areas where conversion rates are lower than average.
  • Monitor the delivery options available on our website to ensure that customers have, at all times, a range of products that ensure maximum conversion from quote to order and to tailor this to the time of the year and during periods of peak demand.
  • Train, develop and support our oil suppliers who may have daily pricing queries. Introduce and train new users on our Suppliers Admin Panel to ensure continual engagement and the best possible prices in order for them to win volume.
The Candidate – you will need to have
  • A confident communicator with excellent negotiating skills you will need to have a natural ability to think "outside the box" when dealing with a multitude of personalities. Further, you will need to be able to think on your feet whilst always remaining positive when dealing with supplier objections.
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Be skilled in objection handling.
  • A high degree of self-motivation and drive with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

About BoilerJuice, the UK's No 1 Heating Oil Website are seeking to recruit full and part time, enthusiastic, friendly Customer Service Advisors to join our busy Contact Centre team based at our offices in St Ives, Cambs.

Working as a customer service advisor, your duties will include receiving and processing Telephone orders, Transfers, Refunds and order queries from customers and responding to correspondence via email and Live Chat, communicating with our suppliers and internal departments, and accurate record keeping and complaint resolution.

The successful applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and to be a team player; possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, demonstrate the ability to listen to customer objections, analyse problems and be able to manage multiple tasks.

Previous experience of a customer services role would be advantageous but not essential.

Other Information

The hours of work will be flexible between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5.30pm weekends.

Salary: £7.50 – £8.50 per hour depending on working hours and experience.
